  • Posted on February 26, 2013 at 8:14 AM
The Green Bag Tag is no longer available for sale in CVS stores. Although no specific time frame has been announced, this program will be phased out in 2013. CVS will be replacing this program with an alternative green initiative program that will have the intention of focusing more on local communities.
Current Green Bag Tag card holders can continue to use their cards until the official end of the program is announced.

The Best Winter Uses for Hand Cream

  • Stop static cling. Rub a few drops of cream evenly on your palms, then lightly wipe over your blouse or skirt to remove static cling. Awkward sticking, begone!
  • Tame flyaways. Give stubborn strands a light pat down with lotioned hands to keep flyaways under control.
  • Shine your shoes. Put a drop or two of cream onto a soft cotton cloth, then gently work it into leather shoes. Hello shiny!
  • Heel replenishers. Why splurge on a pedicure when sandal season is so far away? Heal dry, cracked feet while you sleep by applying cream to them, then putting on thick socks and wearing overnight. You’ll wake up soft & moisturized from heel to toe.

New Wording on Coupons ~ P&G, Pom Wonderful

  • Posted on August 30, 2012 at 9:12 AM

I try and make it a habit to update coupon policies in my binder and to read the “instructions” on coupons so I’m not blindsided at the checkout. I noticed some new wording on the P&G coupons that came out last weekend. BTW P&G coupons are the only ones that have this new wording. If you seen coupons from other companies doing the same, please share.
They used to state: “Limit of 4 like coupons in the same shopping trip“.

They now state: “Limit of 4 like coupons per household per day”,

So basically, if you would like to buy 5 like items (boxes of cereal) and you want to use coupons, you can only buy 4 one day, then come back the next day to buy the 5th one with a coupon. For most of us small time couponers this wording will not matter much.  To those who are extreme couponers and buy 100′s of items in one trip, you will have some major changes!

On the flip-side POM Wonderful. the first to feature the new wording, (“Cannot be used during any in-store promotional offer or discount.”) retracted their changes after outcries from the couponing community. YAY!

POM Wonderful issued us the following statement tonight:

“POM Wonderful has always been as passionate about our customers as we are about our products. We recognize that some customers were disappointed in the limitation attached to one of our recent coupons. After examining this issue, we have changed the wording on future coupons so they will no longer prohibit usage in combination with retailer promotions. We hope customers will take advantage of future coupons and promotional opportunities so they can continue enjoying POM Wonderful.”

Wonderful, indeed. And lesson learned: if you don’t read the fine print on your coupons, maybe you should. And if you don’t like what you read, maybe you should start asking questions. Couponers often know coupons better than the companies that issue them, after all.

P&G, are you listening?
