ShopKick ~ Free $2 Target Gift Card!

Shopkick is a FREE, fun rewards app for iPhone or Android. You can earn “kicks” by browsing through lookbooks on your phone, walking in to participating stores (like Target, Best Buy, Old Navy & Toys R Us) or scanning specific items.

Those kicks (or points) can then be redeemed for mobile gift cards – you’ll actually scan a code on your phone at the store to redeem! One of the best things is you don’t need to purchase ANYTHING at all to earn kicks, though you can earn more with purchases.

If you’re a current Shopkick member, visit this page to claim your $2 Target card. Enter the cell number registered to your account.

If you’re not yet a Shopkick member, you may want to sign up here first. Then visit this page to claim your $2 Target card.

The $2 gift card will be loaded to the “My Stuff” section of the Shopkick app. It will activate the next time you walk in to Target and turn on your Shopkick app.

Visit Target before January 31, 2012 and show the gift card (on your phone) to the cashier at checkout to redeem your $2 savings!

Ibotta App

There is a new kid on the block. Ibotta. It is now available to download to your iPhone, iPad, or Android!

Ibotta is an free app that helps you save money while you shop. After you download and register this app, you can select some of your favorite offers for your favorite products.

After you select your favorite offers, you can complete several activities that help you earn even more savings for that product. The more activities you complete (reading facts, taking quizzes, posting to Facebook, watching videos, and more) the more money you will earn! There are normally 3 earning options for each offer.

When you complete the activities you choose, the offer will stay on the Ibotta until you purchase the product, upload your receipt, and scan the product.

When steps are completed, you will have your earnings within 24 hours.  After you receive your earnings and build up to $5, you can select to have cash added to your PayPal account or make donations to selected organizations.

Ibotta works at 33 different retailers including Target, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy, RiteAid, Safeway, and more.  You can even use coupons on the products you are buying at the store to get your purchase price down even more! You can stack Ibotta rebates with coupons and in store promotions.

OK, quick review….

  1. Download and Sign up for the Ibotta App
  2. Choose your favorite offers
  3. Complete activities for the specific offers of items you have chosen
  4. When you are shopping, purchase the specific item for the offers you have earned
  5. Upload your receipt and scan the bar code on the item you have purchased
  6. Submit your information and wait for your earnings (usually within 24 hours)
  7. When you reach $5 you can transfer it to your FREE PayPal account or donate the $$.

Savvy Savings Apps

I stumbled across some more apps you can use in your iPhone or Android to help maximize your savings. These all can be used with iPhone or Droids. 🙂

SnipSnap Coupon App ~  Scan and store your paper coupons using your phone. This alerts you when you enter a store whose coupons you’ve saved. It also reminds you when coupons you have are about it expire.

 

 

The Coupons App ~ This GPS-enabled app alerts your to local deals- and not just at chains or big box stores. Get the scoop about small grocers’ weekly sales too.

 

 

Grocery Pal ~ Browse coupons by store, track prices, from retailers’ weekly advertisements, make shopping lists and redeem deals with the tap of your finger.

 

Apples2Oranges ~ This app does the math to show which quantity or size of a grocery item is the best deal.
