On June 17th, Tropical Smoothie Café will celebrate the 5th anniversary of National Flip Flop Day! It all started back in 2007 as a celebration encouraging our customers to kick off summer, and their shoes, by wearing a pair of flip flops.  As a simple thank you to our loyal customers, the first 500 people wearing flip flops at each location were given a FREE 24 oz. Jetty Punch smoothie. Soon after, we realized that National Flip Flop Day was also the perfect opportunity to spread some sunshine to those in need. In 2008, we proudly announced a national charity partnership with a magical place called Camp Sunshine. Today, we still spend National Flip Flop Day celebrating the kick off of summer by wearing flip flops and giving away free smoothies, but we also raise awareness and money for Camp Sunshine. This year, we decided to expand our charity efforts into six weeks of fundraising to help children with life-threatening illnesses and their families to make more magical memories.

I’ve received the Yogi Tea samples before and it really is good tea. They are generous with their samples as well. This time I got two with a coupon. Last time I got four. The link allows you to send a Well-Wish to a friend, then you get to choose two teas for yourself. 🙂

The only reason I signed up for Miracle Whip is because my brother uses it on EVERYTHING. Ok, not everything, but it seems like we’re buying it weekly. Sadly, no coupons came with the sample.

Finally I got this All-In-One Survival Kit from P&G. The sample is actually from their BeingGirl.com site. I just love the cute little deodorant. It’s perfect to keep in my purse or locker at work. In the picture above you can see (if you look REALLY hard) that it also came with 4 coupons.

I’m going to blame Steve for the above picture. Unless it’s bikes, hammocks or computer related I have to beg him to help me take pictures and stuff.

MizCouponista is owned by 5 cats. That’s part of the reason I coupon. I need to make sure they are all well taken care of. Cat nip can be expensive too! 😛

I recently moved so I was in need of more emergency stickers. The ones that you place on your window to alert emergency personnel that there are pets in your home. The ASPCA offers a free one. My cats posted about it on their website, along with a list of things for their own first-aid kits. You can read more about it HERE.

I’m going to start doing one post per week of my snail mail freebies/coupons.  As I’ve mentioned before they are starting to roll in more and more. I’ve already lost track of what I’ve received!
Please excuse the quality of the pictures. My camera and I have a love/hate relationship.

I’m sad to say the Prilosec sample I received last Friday is no longer available (at least the site I signed up on) but no worries. They come around quite often. I’ll keep an eye out for you.

Today I got a sample from Fiber Choice. It was 2 chewable tablets from their Weight Management line. Mmmm Strawberry! I’m pretty sure I’ll be using the $2 coupon toward a purchase of this product.

My second goodie was a MUCH needed sample of Lactaid Fast Acting Dietary Supplement. I seem to eat  these like candy ever since I had my weight loss surgery. This supplement allows me to digest my much loved Starbucks and ICE CREAM. 😛

I was impressed that the sample contained 4 caplets. Not so impressed with just a $1 coupon. I need to buy stock in this company (and Starbucks)!
